Necessity is the mother of crazy projects. I couldn’t find a sweater drying rack big enough for my needs so I thought, “I’ll just build my own. How hard can that be?” Designing and making the frame was easy (I had my local hardware store cut the PVC pipe to my specs and just pressure fitted them together). The hard part was making the mesh surface. Hence two months passed between stretching the mesh and actually sewing on the fabric tubes. But now it is done and I am so glad I made it. With 3′ x 5′ of awesome drying real estate I expect this rack will get plenty of use.
